James Bartholomew Olsen is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Olsen is a young photojournalist working for the Daily Planet. He is close friends with Lois Lane and Superman, and has a good working relationship with his boss Perry White. Olsen looks up to his coworkers as role models and parent figures. In the Silver Age, he appeared in the comic book series Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen.
