Trained to be an assassin with her microwave manipulating mutant powers, Firestar grew to be a popular hero. She spent years as a member of the New Warriors, became an Avenger, retired during Marvel’s Civil War, and then joined the Young Allies. She is currently a member of the X-Men, and teaches physics at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning.
